Brothers and Sisters, I know there is a lot of conflict over the CBA with management. I was made aware that all Wardens have received the CBA from DD Shea. Their choice to distribute this to their supervisors is where there seems to be a breakdown. I want you all to understand that there are practical matters that still need addressed by the state, as to how implementation will be done. Supervisors will receive training and guidance on how to follow the contract very soon. I sympathize with your frustration, but I ask for your continued understanding while we work with the state to bring all of the benefits of the contract to you. Please do not argue with your supervisors or let your frustration get the best of you. If you supply them with the CBA and they refuse to acknowledge it, tell them there is a signed copy posted on the link below:
This is the DHRM/ Labor Relations Unit website link to our contract. If they are told not to acknowledge the contract by their superiors, there's not much that we can expect. Everyone will be on the same page soon. Rest easy knowing that once implemented, if there are violations of the CBA, FOP will be here to file the appropriate action to enforce the CBA. For now please exercise patience, and understanding as we are all experiencing many of these changes for the first time. Be safe and take care of each other.
A lot of use need clarification on voluntary overtime. We are being told buy some supervisors that any voluntary overtime, Example when you come in on a RDO and due overtime, when you either come in 4 hours early or stay late on your shift. All of it is voluntary, that you do not get an overtime date and pushed down the mandatory list. only way to get mark off the mandatory list is to be mandated. If that is not sure we need are shift sergeants and lieutenants need to be educated on this matter. Because the OP at ESP still states that the mandatory will be sorted by Hire date, voluntary OT and then Mandatory OT. This is…
Lunk do you know when the paygrade updates will reflect in our NEATS. Myself and few other officers have checked and it still reflects our old paygrades.
