Today, Sunday December 3rd, IG’s office and CCSO conducted a joint operation to the introduction of narcotics of Samantha Goodrich. Goodrich showed up to NNCC visiting while IG investigators detained her for questioning, while interviewing Goodrich, K-9 officer conducted a free air sniff on visitor vehicle which came back positive. A search of the vehicle was conducted and rendered meth, Xanax, and marijuana. Goodrich was booked to Carson City Sheriff’s Office.
Implementing a K-9 program is a great idea. They should really look into getting dual-purpose K-9s for both odor detection and protection duties as deterents. One K-9 can be as effective as 10 officers when it comes to reducing the amount of contraband in a facility. Great long-term investment to boost the levels of safety and security for offenders and officers overall.

I like how productive this is getting. This department needs to be more productive.
Hell yeah!
We should talk to CO Nava he had a connection with a person that would have paid for everything but the crew to run it
Now if we can only get NDOC full dedicated dog teams. I’d jump on that opportunity in a heartbeat.
