Wellness Resources
FOP wants all of our officers to have access to the resources you may need to keep yourself healthy.  We do not always look at our mental well being as a priority.  This is not acceptable.  We have lost too many officers to hopelessness and depression.  Below you will find a number of links to utilize should you need to talk to someone.  We truly hope anyone who is in need of help takes advantage of these resources and talks to someone.  Something to keep in mind is what we have become accustomed to hearing from flight attendants before the plane takes off.  "In the event of an emergency, oxygen masks will fall from the ceiling. secure your mask first before helping others..."  How often do we think to take care of ourselves, before helping someone else?

FIRST RESPONER WELLNESS
FRW is an excellent residential treatment facility in Newport Beach, CA. They treat all sorts of mental health conditions including: alcohol and substance addiction, depression, PTSD, gambling, suicidal ideation, and more. This program is unique as it is only for first responders and it is approved by the National FOP as a wellness provider. I personally toured the facility and was able to meet with the executive team. I found this program to be top notch and specifically geared towards first responders. They informed me that they take State of Nevada insurance and workers comp. They said that the insurance covers 98% of the cost of the program. This is a 45 day minimum program and they recommend completing at least 60 days, with the average stay around 70 days. If you need help or you would like to enroll in this program, please see the flyers below. If you would like to participate in the zoom groups for support, please review the schedule below. If you need any information as to the reporting of a mental health injury for purposes of workers compensation, please review the following NRS:
