Have a question regarding my institution and it's way of mandated individuals, are you able to be mandatoried on your regular RDO and if so where can I find this NRS/CBA/NAC. Also another question we are on 12s (5am-5pm and 5pm-5am) so we get mandated either by 1am or 1pm per cba and for our shifts our supervisor that is on duty is telling us when we volunteer for the shift he is mandating us for that said day only counts if it's at the beginning of the shift. For example I'm being mandated today 5am-9am 4hrs because I'm night shift but for that shift I'm being mandatoried for Im already volunteered and am hired for a overtime assignment that was posted in the afternoon for my 16 beginning at 1pm-5pm, I'm being told that since it's not at the beginning of the shift it's the afternoon it's does not count and will still mandatory me. I've looked at can't find nothing that says only morning it's just say an officer who volunteers for a overtime assignment on said day will be moved to the bottom of the mandatory list. Thank you for your help with this matter sorry for the super long post

I will answer what I believe you are asking. Any overtime, mandatory or voluntary moves you to the bottom of the list. The only requirement with regard to mandatory overtime is that they have to give you 4 hours notice. RDO’s are included in that. The notice must be that you are required to work overtime, not that you might, then call you right before the shift.
